Anchoring sustainability in Morocco's development
ALIGNMENT WITH NATIONAL PRIORITIES
From its accession to PAGE, Morocco already had a solid strategic foundation with the adoption of the National Strategy for Sustainable Development (SNDD) in 2017. PAGE helped strengthen this alignment by ensuring its interventions directly support national priorities.
This coherence was reflected in the design of the New Development Model in 2021, which placed sustainability and social equity at the heart of public policies.
PAGE also contributed to the design of the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF), particularly on the pillar dedicated to inclusive and sustainable economic transformation.
DOWNLOAD THE SNDD (2017)STRENGTHENING GREEN ECONOMY GOVERNANCE
PAGE has played a key role in strengthening the governance of Morocco's green transition. By supporting the creation and operation of the PAGE National Steering Committee, co-chaired by the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, PAGE has fostered an inter-ministerial and multi-stakeholder approach. This inclusive governance has strengthened coordination between ministries, the private sector and civil society, and was consolidated during the revision of the SNDD in 2023.

CATALYST FOR SOUTH-SOUTH COOPERATION
As part of the Royal Vision for South-South cooperation, PAGE has helped strengthen Morocco's positioning as a leading regional actor. PAGE supported the proposed Coalition for Sustainable Energy Access (CSEA) and the organisation, in 2025, of the first PAGE Regional Academy for Africa in Rabat, making Morocco a hub for sharing green economy knowledge and best practices.
LEARN MORESTRUCTURING THE NATIONAL DIALOGUE
Since 2022, PAGE has structured a national dialogue space through the annual "Green Crossroads" conferences. This platform has become an unmissable event bringing together public decision-makers, experts, the private sector and civil society to debate green transition issues. This dialogue dynamic is a lasting legacy meant to continue beyond the PAGE programme.
