GREEN CROSSROADS: A SPACE FOR EXCHANGE, SHARING AND COLLABORATION

The Green Crossroads conference is a strategic dialogue space dedicated to the Kingdom's transition to a green and inclusive economy. Having brought together more than 800 participants over its three editions, this event has established itself as a key platform to present progress on the PAGE programme and strengthen synergies between national and international stakeholders.

Beyond diagnostics, these meetings foster the emergence of priority actions and high-impact initiatives. Building on national partners' expectations, they enable UN agencies to align their interventions with Morocco's strategic sustainable development priorities.

Green Crossroads 2022 conference

2022

Officially launched in Rabat on 22 November 2022, the Green Crossroads conference mobilised institutional, private and international actors around the priorities of the PAGE programme in Morocco, under the theme: the green economy in Morocco: challenges and opportunities of good governance.

The event presented the national scoping study targeting strategic sectors and served as a reference to structure the main thematic sessions, in particular on water management, energy transition, plastic pollution, waste management, biodiversity mainstreaming, taxation and green finance.

A true steering tool, this platform formalised a concerted action plan to lift transition barriers. This strategic diagnosis now supports the Kingdom's stakeholders in implementing a green, sustainable and inclusive economy.
