Encouraging Morocco and its stakeholders to rethink economic policies around sustainability challenges.
Supporting Morocco's transition to a green, inclusive and resilient economy. Discover how PAGE acts at the global level.
In an era marked by climate disruption, escalating environmental risks and resource shortages, economic uncertainty, widening inequality, and recurring global crises, continuing on current economic trajectories is no longer an option. PAGE supports countries in transforming their economic systems to align with global objectives.
In Morocco, PAGE supports the creation of an enabling macroeconomic environment aligned with national priorities and international commitments, including the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. Through coordinated action at national, regional, and global levels, PAGE contributes to translating these commitments into coherent, concrete policy frameworks.
Drawing on the combined expertise and networks of five United Nations agencies — UNEP, UNDP, ILO, UNIDO, and UNITAR — and working in close collaboration with Moroccan institutions, the private sector, and civil society, PAGE provides integrated support to promote green jobs, foster a just transition, strengthen circular economy practices, and mobilize sustainable finance.
PAGE contributes to structural transformation in Morocco by strengthening national green economy actors, supporting capacity development, informing public policy reforms, facilitating access to financing, and fostering South-South and triangular cooperation to consolidate Morocco's leadership in the green transition.
